Now that you have an up and running therapy practice, how do people find you? Through therapy directories! This is why it is so important for your practice to be listed in therapy directories. This is literally your connection to the “outside world” where potential clients are able to find you and your practice. Therapy directories have been around for quite some time- and for good reason. They help people in need connect with professionals that can help them. Take a look at these 7 directories and see if being listed on any of them can help grow your practice (guess what, most of them are FREE).
1. Clinicians of Color
Founded in 2016 via a Facebook group, Clinicians of Color, LLC (COC), has over 12,000 members. The purpose of COC is to help therapists of color start or grow a private practice. They also provide clinical training to help therapists of color develop skills, acquire knowledge and become successful in business. Even though this was started as a Facebook group, this group has become a source of tremendous support and a safe place to process life’s challenges. It is very easy to find a therapist to connect with. All you need to do is enter your location, filter the results, view the profile for who you are wanting to connect with, and then contact them. That simple! This is also free to use. https://www.cliniciansofcolor.org/
